Redsnapper
(born September 01, 1961) is an African American writer. He has written in
various genres, including erotica fiction and paranormal romance fiction.
Biography
Redsnapper was born and raised in
Kansas City, Kansas and currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri. He was
educated in the Kansas City, Kansas Public school system attending Dunbar South
Elementary School from 1966-1972, Benjamin Banneker Elementary School in 1973, Northeast Junior High School from 1974-1976
and Sumner High School from 1977-1978. He graduated from F.L. Schlagle High
School in 1979.
He went to Donnelly College for a
semester until he decided to pursue a career in the U.S. Army serving 22 years
retiring as a Quartermaster Chief Warrant Officer.
Redsnapper has contributed to
several books, newspaper columns, and has written articles for the Sphinx
Magazine, the official organ of the first Greek Letter Fraternity for
African-American Men, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in which he holds his
Life Membership.
He also is the host of the Internet
radio show entitled: WordSexy Radio, which airs every Monday on blogtalkradio.com
Redsnapper is the President and CEO
of Midwest Publishing Group, L.L.C., a publishing group designed to house three
major publishing companies under one umbrella. This company was designed to aid
up and coming writers to publish their craft within the Midwest part of the Country
who could not get recognition by major publishing houses.
Redsnapper's education includes
earning his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri-Kansas
City, a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College
(USNY-Regents College) and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of
Saint Mary.
